4th of July 2017 – Point Reyes South Beach
Recently, I wrote a post on 5 Beautiful Northern California Beaches, and one of the beaches listed was Point Reyes South Beach. I’ve seen so many incredible pictures of this beach so I definitely wanted to see it for myself and take our kids along to enjoy it. The Fourth of July seemed like a perfect day to make the drive out to visit this beach and for the boys to wear their matching outfits from JoJo Maman Bébé.
Unfortunately, by the time we got there it was super cold, windy, and foggy. We immediately had to pile on our sweaters and sweatpants. Still, the boys loved wearing their hats and their beach sandals, which were perfect for running on the sand and even kept their feet warm in damp sand.
We had a ton of fun playing with our Beachmate shovels and buckets that are great for building sandcastles. We ran up and down the beach and enjoyed listening to and watching the waves. The boys loved seeing the birds fly over the ocean. I thought that whale watching months in the area were December to May, but there were people hanging around the beach parking lot with binoculars. So of course we wonder if we missed something. Still, we had a great time. And I’m looking forward to dressing my boys up in their matching JoJo Maman Bébé outfits for the rest of this summer!
