We were invited to a screening of the movie Ferdinand and we were so excited—it would be the first time our whole family saw a movie in the theaters together and the first time our youngest ever went to a movie in theaters!
Trying to get a picture with the boys after the movie!
But we had no idea what to expect aside from the challenges of getting two toddlers to sit still during a movie. I’m happy to report that aside from a couple hiccups, the boys did a good job of sitting through the 1-hour-and-46-minute-movie.
About the movie Ferdinand: The young bull Ferdinand escapes from a training camp after his dad meets a matador in the ring and doesn’t return home. He ends up at a farm, where a girl and her dad adopt him and he enjoys a peaceful life. But that all changes when authorities take him back to the training camp he came from. Now he must figure out how to escape with the help of some new friends before he must meet a matador in the ring.
I think I can speak for the whole family when I say we really enjoyed watching Ferdinand! Ferdinand is a sweet and funny story about being true to yourself and also, as I think about it now, it’s also a story about looking out for and caring about others.
Find out what we thought right after seeing Ferdinand in the video.
Ferdinand is in theaters tomorrow, December 15th!
