Custom Phone Cases That Are Stylish Too

I have been in need of a new phone case so when CaseApp reached out to me, I said absolutely! On the CaseApp website there are plenty of options for custom phone cases (that are stylish too). Their amazing marble-print phone cases immediately caught my eye. In fact, they have a few different types of marble-print cases so it took me a little while to pick which one I wanted. I’m glad I decided on this one–it was exactly what I was looking for to freshen up my phone for a new season.

But as I mentioned before, something I really like about CaseApp is that they give you the option of designing your own phone case. I spent some time on their site checking out the different ways I could customize a case–I could’ve gotten the white marble-print with pink (my favorite color!), or I could’ve done a combination of black, white, and gold in a fun design. I was surprised at the number of choices available!

Designing a Phone Case

My husband’s phone case was also in need of some freshening up—it was plain and broken at the bottom so he wanted a new one too! It was fun creating a custom iPhone case for him. He requested that I put a couple of his favorite pictures of me (the ones he picked are actually some of my first blog pictures) and then he picked some favorite pictures of our kids for me to put on a case for him. He loves it! I even got to write a little note for him on it. This is such a great gift idea with both Mother’s Day and Father’s Day coming up!

Max loves having pictures of us on his phone so he can see us whenever he wants wherever he is. If you know me, you know I love personalization because I feel like there is a certain special sentimental value with personalized gifts that makes people remember them for years to come.

Gray top and a gray bag! And ironically, the top is from Gray Monroe.

There’s so much to like about this top–it’s light and flowy, plus it has pleats. It’s a peplum top that is casual, yet the chiffon gives it a feminine touch. I’m happy to have this piece in my closet during the transitional time between seasons. Unfortunately, they don’t have it in gray anymore, but it’s currently available (and on sale!) in oatmeal, which is a soft neutral color and in a beautiful burgundy color. Just search for “Macy Top” on the Gray Monroe website.

And in case you needed any more incentive to check out Gray Monroe, they’re having a happy hour sale on their sale section today from 8 am to 10 am PST. Use code “HAPPYHOURSALE” to take an additional 30% off any item in the sale section!

These boots and this tote bag (which has quickly become one of my favorite bags) are also on sale. I love a good deal, don’t you?

I hope you have a happy Thursday!

Happy Monday beautiful! I hope your day is going well so far. Can you believe tomorrow is Valentine’s Day? I can’t–I feel like it snuck up on me this year even though I tried so hard to be prepared for it.

Since it’s February, we are experiencing some cold and windy weather here in Northern California and this jacket has been great! This last weekend while we were taking these pictures, it was particularly windy hence the name for this post (and the pictures with my hair flying all over the place). 🙂

My take on the jacket: it’s casual, lightweight, and it has a hood in case the weather changes and it suddenly starts to rain. Also, I like the fact that I can wear it open or tie it, which I ended up doing once the wind got to be too much.

I received this jacket courtesy of Olivia James Apparel, and if you haven’t heard of this online shop, you should check it out here. The owner’s goal is to provide quality clothing and style that transcends season, and she’s got a great selection of pieces!

A Pop of Pink & How To Style a Monochromatic Outfit

My favorite color is pink and I especially love a pop of pink when I’m wearing white or black. The color definitely makes a statement, which I love. Plus, pink is such a fun color! And it makes me smile. I know, I’m such a dork. Whatever. 🙂

So because I’m dressed in a monochromatic outfit for this post, I think this is a good time to share a mini how-to!

How To Style a Monochromatic Outfit

If you are going to dress in one color, mix different textures! See how the lightweight shirt I’m wearing doesn’t clash with the pleather leggings or suede boots? Instead, all of the different textures complement each other. You can also wear an accessory with a fun print or statement color (like this pop of pink!) to break up the outfit.

I had so much fun styling this outfit and taking these pictures in the middle of downtown Roseville. I especially love these pleather leggings from Gray Monroe, which is a boutique owned by mom and blogger Jenny Collier. Go check out her store, there’s so much cute stuff!

Do you like wearing monochromatic outfits? If so, I’d love to hear your favorite ways to style monochromatic looks!

Happy New Year!

If you’ve been following along with my blogging journey for awhile then you already know how much I love Evy’s Tree sweaters. Evy’s Tree is a local company here in Northern California. They make luxury hoodies for those colder California days like the ones we’ve been having recently. They’re stylish, ridiculously comfortable, and warm.

This one has such a unique hoodie. You can unzip it and wear it draped over your shoulders (as pictured). Or, you can zip it all the way up and it becomes a regular hoodie. It’s so different and I love that.

How are you doing with your New Year’s resolutions so far? I’m not much of a resolutions person but I love making new goals for the new year. I always goal-make/goal-chase/goal-reach–that’s just the way I am year-round (raise your hand if you can relate!). So at the beginning of a fresh year, I tend to look at the current goals I’m working on and re-evaluate my plans. I also make new goals for the new year and create a plan of how I am going to turn those goals into a reality.

What is your new year process — do you like setting goals or making resolutions? What works for you? Let me know in the comments! And let me know if I can help you with your goals/resolutions (my email address is in the “contact” page above)! Happy Friday!

Xx, Emily
